The reason to mount an optic on the Arsenal Firearms is speed and consistency — a slide-level dot is faster to acquire than irons and stays in your sight picture as the gun cycles. The plate is the bridge: it mates the gun's mounting interface to your red dot's footprint and holds the optic low and rigid so point of aim does not wander.

Compatibility is set by the Arsenal Firearms's mounting cut on one side and your optic's footprint on the other — both have to match the plate.
