Base pads for Beretta 92X Performance

On the 92X Performance -- Beretta's dedicated competition variant -- the base pad choice is directly linked to the magwell. A heavier pad drops the magazine cleanly on release so you are not coaxing it out under stage pressure. And the base pad closes the funnel at the bottom of the magwell: without the right geometry there, the funnel is open at the base and the incoming reload loses the forgiving entry the magwell is there to create. For 92X Performance shooters with a magwell fitted, these two choices are made together.
